About Free Time Players Guild
FTP guild was created at the end of 2014, so it is a fairly young GW2 guild, from a couple of outlaws that were also representing other guilds, but the low game time, left them on the bottom of party invite list. ʺWhy?ʺ You wonder. The reason lies in the game play, and the requirements of some professional Guilds and the so-called ʺPro Playersʺ. So the guild is made up mostly of »renegades« that are outside of the hard core gamer box.
In GW2 player can join up to 5 Guilds, but most of them require 100% representation across the entire playing time, and in the event that a player does not represent the Guild it is highly likely that he/she will be kicked out of the guild. Same thing goes for not using a specific build in dungeon run or raid.
The vast majority of players would still like to be a part of a larger or smaller community, that understands and accepts their way of play stile and understands that next to the free time to play GW2 a player has a real life and everyday commitments.
In order to avoid all these professional requirements we have set up FTP Guild. FTP Guild enables players to actually play and explore the game as they want and most importantly when they have time to do so. At the end of the day it is just a GAME.
But still, most of us play to get a sense of satisfaction by achieving something. Let it bee gathering carrots, running away from a champion , Zerg or even a Blob in World vs World and surviving, finally reaching splendid chest of a jumping puzzle or doing a victory dance after humiliating one of many world bosses. We soon realise that in a party things get a bit more fun. That is why we are here and that is why we started the Free Time Players Guild.
Our members are from all over the world. We do not limit ourselves to a certain continent, country or even region as you can see with so many other GW2 guilds. We embrace being an international Guild, aiming to play and talk to Free Time Players from all around the globe. Most of us call Far Shiverpeaks home in Europe server group, but we also have members from NA server groups. There are some problems with that, that involve certain aspects of the game, but even if we serve as transitional or chat guild that is no problem with us.
We are a bit biased towards PvE but many of us enjoy PvP as well, and to tell the absolute truth, we do have some WvWvW addicts..
However, that doesn't mean we're not a guild for hardcore players – like anything else in our guild, our activity and rules are quite relaxed. But take into consideration that most of our members have a real life as well which prevents them from playing GW2 all day.
So in a nutshell why would You even want to join us?
- You just started playing GW 2 and no one takes the time to help You out?
- You do not have time to play 24/7?
- You have a life?
- Your kid puled out the internet cable/unplugged the modem and that was the reason You got DC from middle of dungeon run?
- You have to put kids to bed and its going to take You 20 to 30 min to get back?
- You get kicked from a party so a guild member can join in at the final boss fight in FOTM?
- You are stuck at story but no one to help You advance because they all ready did that or are farming?
- You can not complete a JP for the 100 time and no Mesmer to “cheat” You to the chest?
- You can not find those last 2 zones for Explorer achievement and there is no one to check their own map to help You out?
- … etc.
- Our time to help You out
- All the Guild stuff (what we have and what we will get with Your help)
- GW2 unique experience - Inner Guild Wars WvWvW
- Map exploration partys
- Dungeon runs
- WvWvW raids
- … etc.
So … You do not have the time but stil want to “achieve” something in this fantastic game … just need company … need help with some thing … etc. ….

Rules
We have some rules .... well our Guild members call them »common sense rules« but just in case You are like our Guild Leader and lacking on common sense here are the »guide lines«:
Language:
English in Guild chat.
English on Guild TeamSpeak.
The rest is up to You – always good to know a language or two and widen linguistic horizon.
Code of conduct:
You are old enough to know right (opposite of false not left) from wrong – so behave.
Understand that there are no »Pro Players« in our guild just members that know a thing or two.
Agree to disagree.
NOOBs do exist and people do make mistakes so no raging, instead help them out.
If You are asked for help try and help if you know how.
Keep in mind that this is a global game and people from other countries may have a different view or reactions on what they read/hear. Explanation and a cold head make wonders.
Guild Bank:
Gold taken from the bank should be returned so others may use it as well.
Deposit in Guild Bank only the item/items that You do not need or are willing to part from.
Items (resources) in Guild Bank are there to HELP You progress, not to make You rich and famous.
Group hugs:
When in a party of Guild members it is appreciated if You represent the Guild ( any influence is welcome).
Being in a party is always fun ... and they can be really really fun!
The most important thing of all:
HAVE FUN! It is a GAME!
Something else
Nope. Nothing. Absolutely nothing else here. Blank. Really! Trust me! There is nothing else to say. Well OK one more thing:
